Mooncakes Club started as an email to a friend visiting Taipei, before expanding into a doc I’d share with every friend planning a trip. So a decade later I finally gave in and made a blog.

I currently cover core areas of Taipei and Taichung, although once I finish writing up my initial set of neighbourhood guides I hope to start posting blogs about other Taiwanese cities. I’ve gone around the island twice so I have a lot to get to!

My favourite mooncake is lüdoupeng: mung bean paste and chashao wrapped with flaky skin.
